Álvaro Gago Díaz
Álvaro Gago was born in 1986 in Vigo (Galicia, Spain). He graduated with honours in Audiovisual Communications in 2008 by Vigo University and then moved to Chicago where he studied filmmaking and theatre for one year at North Park University. Alvaro directs, shoots and edits the documentary ENDLESS CHICAGO, screened at Bleeding Hearts Arts Festival. In 2009 he moves to London to study at the Met Film School. Alvaro co-wrote, co-directed and edited the short film DOREMI in 2010, screened at Frontale, Portobello and Aesthetica Film Festivals. In January 2011 he enrolls at the MA Filmmaking offered by the prestigious London Film School. As part of his course, Alvaro records sound and edits the documentary SKIN, screened at the London BFI for its selection to represent the London Film School at the Nahemi: Eat Our Shorts film competition. SKIN also screened at the Crystal Palace International Film Festival. Currently Alvaro is an about-to-graduate LFS student. While he writes the script for his graduation film, a family-drama set in 1940s Galicia, Alvaro smooths the way of his first feature film.
